MRPPal - Material Requirements Planning

MRP module facilitates effective planning of material requirements. The inputs for MRP are -

• Projects - these could be purchase orders from the client, work orders generated by Management / marketing / Production Planning department. A project may contain one or more products
• List of products - produced in the organization
• BOMs - each product / sub-assembly would have a Bill of Material.

When you run MRP module, it takes into consideration all the open (not closed and are in various stages of completion) projects. It goes to a depth of three when planning materials from sub-assemblies. That is - Product-> Sub-Assembly -> Sub-Sub-Assembly -> sub-sub-sub-Assembly. It provides the following bottleneck (material that is not available on stock or on PO) reports

• Master BOM - all material requirements - detailed and summary
• Material Requirements detailed and summary for three categories, Bought-out, made-in-house and sub-contracted
• Bottlenecks report - all, detailed and summary
• Bottlenecks report - detailed and summary for three categories, Bought-out, made-in-house and sub-contracted
• Bottlenecks for which POs are yet to be placed

To be able to decide the production readiness of products, the following reports are made available -

• Bottlenecks for a specified product
• Master BOM for a project
• Bottlenecks for a specified project
• Bottlenecks for a specified product- detailed and summary for three categories, Bought-out, made-in-house and sub-contracted
• Bottlenecks for a specified project- detailed and summary for three categories, Bought-out, made-in-house and sub-contracted
